A matter of inches

I’ve been plugging away at revising the second draft now for some time. I’ve finished up the printed portion of the revisions I had made. I think that piece isn’t complete garbage now.

Some of the spots I’ve been through are a little rough, but for the most part it isn’t that bad. Surprisingly to me, most of my work hasn’t been cutting out large pieces of text, but trying to tie the whole book together. As I wrote the first draft, the characters and plots changed around a bit, so I’m making sure the begining agrees with the ending.

Of course, I’ve already been through this stretch of book before–so it should be a little more polished.

On the screen, the total length of the slide bar of the text editor is 6 inches. I measured a few nights ago. I was 1 1/2 inches in (25%). I didn’t think that was much progress considering how long it had taken me to get there, but last night’s work moved me ahead an additional quarter inch. That’s not too bad for progress I suppose.
